This is my story…. My story that has lived for centuries…. I once was what one would call human until my 17th birthday when my life was never the same… I was walking the streets of Krakow Poland my home town, my sanctuary with my cousin Koscha. We were returning from my favorite Polski restaurant when a dark figure cloaked us. His eyes were a crimson red that look like fresh blood, his skin was a pale grey that sparkled in the dim light. He wore all black which made him look even paler, but his white flawless smile made him seem, so alluring that it was hard not to gaze at him. Except, there was a sweet irresistible scent about him that held me in that spot, like a helpless animal in a hunters trap. I was the first to speak “Umm…. Hi. Well sorry that we got in your way so we’ll be going now….” I motioned for my cousin to follow but a hand grabbed me by the shoulder. I turned around swiftly to find the dark stranger was holding my shoulder. I opened my mouth to protest but he answered first, “You aren’t going anywhere! I’ve been tracking you for to long to be letting you go!” His eyes narrowed, his smile was no longer present on his beautiful face. “Wait?! Why me I don’t even know you! What do you want with me?!” I peered into his eyes looking for some kind of sympathy to reason with him. His eyes became a warm liquid red as if his eyes were pools of blood…. His facial expression looked as if he were pained by my confusion and my frightened state. “I’m sorry….” He said penetrating my eyes with his hypnotic gaze, “But this is the only way….” Before I could react he slammed me into a wall, knocking the wind out of me. I heard Koscha scream, and everthing started to blend together. Oh no! I thought. I’m going to black out soon! I felt a yank on my shoulders breaking my train of thought. Now, I was face to face with my unknown stalker. I saw two fangs come down from his gums like daggers. “This will only hurt a little big, you and your cousin will thank me later for what I’m doing for you.” With one last glance into my tearing scared eyes he plunged his fangs into my throat then my vision became black. My mind traveled in and out of consciousness until I finally was brought back to reality. I sat up quickly remembering what happened, my vision was now focusing. I was in a dark room lighted with candles then I saw my figure of darkness looming in the corner of the enormous room. I sprang up from were I lay and grabbed him by the collar of his cloak. “What have you done to me?! Where am i?! Tell me now or I’ll kill you!” I snarled. He looked at me calmly clearly not fazed by my threat…. “I have given you a new and better life along with you cousin” Gesturing to a bed where Koscha laid, not moving. “If you harmed her I will skin you a….” “I didn’t harm her she’s merely asleep and you’re welcome….” He said looking away. I slumped down on my knees as my silent sobs racked through my body. Tears now over flowing my eyes, staining my cheeks. I quickly wiped my eyes and gazed at my hands, blood was covering my hands a metallic sharp smell that jolted me out of my depression state. I started panicking. My heart was pounding and my chest tightened starting to suffocate me. What’s happening to me? “Don’t panic…. You are not human anymore…. You’re part of me you won’t suffer nor will you have to deal with the human problems in life.” I looked up to meet his eyes and found a connection with him. “Whats your name?” I said with a sigh of defeat. “My name is Edvard Stotsky.” He said with a smile. “My name is Melanie Budziszewski….” I said with a hing of drowsiness in my tone. He came to me and picked me up and laid me to bed. “Everything will be better in the morning….” With that I closed my eyes and drifted into the pool of darkness in my mind….
