It's that magical time of year again, Christmas. The biggest shopping season of the year has got me gloom this year. Time goes on and people get older, I understand that; however don't you wish for the Christmas days when you were a little kid. Waking up at 7 o'clock sharp just to see what Santa Claus had brought the night before, you jump on your parents' bed to get them up and begin unwrapping presents. The colorful paper would fly off as you gaze at the new doll or action figure. Dad's in the chair video taping your every grin and a smile can't help but to grow on his face too. Mom is sipping her coffee and slowly opening her few gifts from Daddy and/or the kids. To what a surprise, jewelry was in the small velvet box. Little brother would get jealous from all the presents you got and he got practically the same about except you got more clothes. Oh how I wish for the days old. Now my family seems to be getting lazier and lazier. We don't have a christmas tree. My dad thought it would be funny to print out a christmas tree and hang it where we use to put the old tree. My younger brother got mad so he was going to put up the fake tree but my father yelled at him not to. Half of the presents are not even wrapped. Dad said that if he sees a video game among the presents he will walk out of the house that moment and never come back. He threatens to divorce my mom. How could things get possibly any worse?! Right I have a little brother with ADHD and violence issues. So my morning has been filled with nothing but screaming at each other's faces. To top the cake, I have the flu. Coughing, running nose, hacking up mucus, the works. I didn't get to sleep until 3:30 a.m. this morning because of my cough. At least things can only go up when you're at the bottom.
