"It's Chirstmas time...whoop di doo! Commercialized it all is I say", said Herard, "I hate the lights, the songs, the gift giving" The thing was that he had no one. His family lived in Florida and he was living in Los Angeles. He wasn't bad looking not at all, a 21 yeard old undergrad student, but he had no sense of humor and he spent most of his time in his apartment reading, on the internet and playing video games and studying mostly of all. He was miserable and this time always reminded him of how miserable he was. Herard had alway had bad expiriences during these holidays, gift exchanges were a pain in the a** for him, every time he would get the gift for the other person but he would never get anything back. It was always embarassing just standing there and watching everybody get there gift. Walking down the streets people hand in hand holding each other "Please no PDA, can't I just disappear from now until January?", he would tell himself. He would walk into coffee shops and it would be the same decorations everywhere and couples too "This is nauseating, I have to get the hell out of here". He had friends but they didn't help much, most of them had girlfriends, but they were rather ditzy, not what he wanted. "I wan't a smart female that could keep at part with me, who thinks that Holiday's like these should be more than this, like Valentines Day, why can't you tell someone you really love then all year round? Be affectionate and buy them all this crap all the time? Some one who knows their stuff and isn't shallow" He sighed and took off to his place, he walked street to street but wasn't quite looking where he was going, just moving with the herd. "s**t can't my phone stop ringing then that goshdang ringtone is getting on my last nerve!" , Jane said. She was looking through her purse and trying to keep and eye on traffic when she didn't see the light turn red.
