I'm currently sitting in my wooden throne listening to 'Deep', possibly the best song written by hope-found doom rockers Anathema, the 1st of (Thus far) 6 bands I'm going to see before christmas...some might say it's a funny thing a guy who not only has been in to the band for a few months, has no albums by them but in 3 weeks will have seen them twice already, well that's the beauty of having a best mate who's willing to pay for your tickets in exchance for the same in return in the future, I have in fact only heard 2 of their albums but that's because I'm more bothered about buying myself Kamelot albums at this time...
In just 3 weeks time I'll be in manchester, queing up outside the Academy 3 waiting for the best thing to come out of Liverpool since Steven Gerrard, what to expect? Well luckily for me I already know, one hell of a gig!
The other 5 bands I have tickets for (2 of them were the 'payback' gifts for Joe buying tickets for this gig) are as follows:
AFI
Lacuna Coil
The Unholy Alliance (Slayer, In Flames, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Thine Eyes Bleed)
Dragonforce
Iron Maiden
So I probably won't update this silly thing until the gig has happened, maybe I'll get some bloody Anathema albums by then eh?
