Hunter looked around while the mayor rambled on. He'd wondered why this place seemed dead for a sunny midday. Now he knew why.. This was some heavy stuff. He lost himself in thought as they went.

He snapped out of it as they crossed the threshold into the man's living room. The walls of the room were a brightly polished wood. The floor was dark green carpet. A large window was built into the wall by the door. The light that poured into the room from it bounced off the walls and lit the room quite well. A young lady sat on a rather comfortable-looking couch set below the window reading a book. She puut it down as they entered.

"Father you're back! And you must be the hunter." She said, standing and walking over to the men, holding her hand out to the stranger for a quick handshake. Hunter obliged, taking her hand. He looked her over. Blonde hair. Hazel-brown eyes. Fair skin. Aside from a nice pair of pink lips, she didn't really have anything going for her. She looked to be in her early twenties."Thank you for coming so quickly. Father's been worrying himself sick over everything. Can I get you some tea? I also just baked a pie." She smiled a relaxed smile, not at all as panicked as her father.

"Just tea, please."

The girl nodded and disappeared while her father motioned for him to take a seat. "Please, you have to help us. We don't know when they'll be back, and they're sure to be up/set!" The man said, quieting down a little as his daughter came back with a serving tray loaded down with tea and pie for all three of them.

Quietly, she served everyone, making her father's tea the way she knew he liked it. "How do you take your tea, hunter?" She asked, looking over to him while her father almost drained the cup. "We tried to fight back last time, and they just slaughtered some of our people. We can't afford to pay them off, otherwise we wouldn't have this issue." The man said before looking up, face pale and eyes wide.

"What is it you need? We'll provide anything you need, just please, save our town!" The daught sat to the side, quietly sipping her tea, but she did look towards Hunter with a curious look, hoping he would agree to stop the bandits.

"I'll stand, thanks", he said in response to the mayor's courtesy. "Please, you have to help us. We don't know when they'll be back, and they're sure to be upset", the man exclaimed loudly, quieting down a little as his daughter came back with a serving tray loaded down with tea and pie for all three of them. Hunter noticed this. His daughter's presence pacified the old man.

She set the tray down on a small table in front of the sofa and wordlessly went to work, mixing a drink and passing it to her father. "How do you take your tea, hunter", she asked, looking over to him while her father almost drained the whole glass. "WSweet, please." He took the glass she handed him with a "thank you". "We tried to fight back last time, and they just slaughtered some of our people. We can't afford to pay them off, otherwise we wouldn't have this issue." He'd wondered why this group of bandits were so aggressive. Most groups simply stole from people.. But that'd do it. Fighting back only works on schoolyard bullies..

"What is it you need? We'll provide anything, just please, save our town!" Hunter sipped somm tea while he thought. Bah. Could be sweeter. After a long pause, he sighed. "I see why the job listing had so few notes", he said, taking another sip of tea. "I will help."
