We can't speak directly to mortals. There are some ways to make them notice you, but those could easily be misunderstood.
They may think that they're going insane because of all the grief, 'hearing non-existant voices', or they will simply be scared.
All the 'ghost stories' people tell each other - they are about us and our more or less successful ways to contact them.
Maybe your relatives will not even recognize that it's you. Not every mortal being can sense our presence.
Only very sensitive ones can talk to us, they are called 'medium'.
There are lots of questions in your mind. You're like a child doing the first steps and realizing how big the world outside is.
