As believers, you and I are likely to be growing, although it’s okay to be youthful at heart. The phrase educates that it should be evident to everyone who interacts with us that we are growing in our love for God and for each other. Ephesians 4:15 reads, “…speaking the truth in love, we're to grow up in every way into Him who's the head, into Christ.”

As a follower of Christ, I shouldn’t be the same person day in, day out, year in, year out, stagnant in spirit and devoid of growth, and neither should you. But increase isn’t about bearing down and compelling maturity either. That approach fails every time. The good thing is that the prescription for development would be to spend some time with Jesus, in prayer and in His Word. He’s like Miracle Grow. Hang out with Jesus and you’ll be transformed and ever growing, as well as the first person surprised from the change will be the one doing the undergoing of a transformation.

We're not being requested to do anything challenging for all but all we must do is to accept Him as our personal Savior and because Jesus has done it.
