Have you ever mistakenly opened a noisy app? Mute the volume quick by pressing and then holding your volume down button. Do this until you can't hear anything. If you find yourself needing to mute sound frequently, you may want to set up the orientation lock button to work as a muting control.

If you're battery is draining fast than you'd like, turn off some notifications and location based items. Your iPad is constantly monitoring where you are (as long as it's on wifi, 3G, or LTE). This monitoring sucks the life out of click this over here now . If you don't need the features, then you can extend your battery time with a few flicks of a button.

Video calls are an excellent feature of the iPad. Did you know that you can move the picture-in-picture around to a better location? First, start a video call on the iPad. Then just tap the window and drag it around the screen with your finger. This will help you get a better view of your subject.

You are able to send messages more easily when you use shortcuts. One shortcut is to double tap the space bar to enter a period and space after a sentence. That removes the need for you to manually do this, and you have more time to message friends.

One of the neat features of the iPad is the Photo Booth. You can get more enjoyment out of this feature if you use it on your friends and family. Tapping the &twirly camera& icon will let you use the camera on the back and take photos by tapping the shutter button.

The new iPad and iPad 2 can be connected to an HD television. This can be done with an Apple Digital AV Adapter that is connected from the 30-pin Dock adapter to the HDMI port or even a regular Apple VGA Adaptor. Both of these iPads support video mirroring, which allows your whole Home screen to appear on the television, not just your videos.

You can configure your iPad's home button to perform a given action by being triple clicked. To do this, simply bring up the Settings tab and then click on General, followed by Accessibility. Then go ahead and triple-click your home button and go on to select what you want your home button to do. This will enable you to triple click and access a chosen function.

The Spotlight search feature searches everything you have, including the songs on you iPod, apps, events and podcasts. If you want to restrict what it searches, you can go to Settings, then General and then Spotlight Search. Here, you can pick which categories you do want it to search and which you don't.

Try to use a wallpaper that is not that dark if you are worried about seeing smudges and fingerprints on the screen. They show up more prominently when the background is dark, so it would be a better idea to choose a wallpaper that is a bit lighter in color.

Did your iPad download get interrupted? Did you never receive that bonus item that was supposed to come with your new iTunes album? These are issues that are easily corrected. Just pick the Store menu in iTunes, and look for the option to check for any downloads you may have available.
