If your stress makes your daily life too difficult, you need to find a way to keep it under control. Do not turn to self-destructive behaviors because of your anxiety such as drinking and overeating. Instead, you should focus on efficient stress management tools such as therapy or relaxation exercises.



Music is really great for easing anxiety. Once you feel the anxiety starting to take hold, play your favorite tunes. Follow each note and get lost in the music. You will soon forget the thing that is making you anxious. If you keep your mind occupied, you will find that you have less time to worry about your anxiety.

Although this might be obvious, the fact is that many people who suffer from anxiety will often do things that might make them uncomfortable, like avoiding hurting someone's feelings. Associating with these people will cause you stress and anxiety.



Speak with your physician and get advice about treatments. While your physician could give you medication and advice, it is your responsibility to let him know of any issues that you might be experiencing. Since your physician cannot be constantly around you, you have to give him your input to maximize the effectiveness of your treatment.
