Have a plan in place whenever you get ready to practice. You need to know your schedule, including how long you will spend on each drill. Have a list of drills you can use and then choose which you'll do each day. Don't forget to warm up before you begin!

Make sure you work on your mental game as much as your physical game when preparing for football. Although keeping in shape and practicing the drills is tough for anybody, the mental aspects of football are what trips most players up on the field. Make sure you're as tough mentally as you are physically.

Running backs are members of the offense. For a running play, the quarterback may pass the ball to a running back who will run the ball as far as he can. When the ball is going in the air, the running back may help protect the quarterback from tacklers or he may try to get open to catch a pass.

If you are playing as the receiver or runningback, use the stiff arm technique. Stiff arms can get you a few extra yards or in some instances completely get you away from a defender. Stick out your arm in a straight line.

A great tip if you're a runningback or even a receiver, is to run right off the back of a lineman. Your linemen are there for a reason. They're trying to block a certain player in order to open up a hole for you. Take advantage of that by sticking to them like glue, making the hole wider.

A "stiff arm" can come in very handy. A stiff arm strategy can buy you time and yards in a crunch, and can completely protect you from a defending player. You just straightly stick out your arm.

A good football tip is to make sure you have the appropriate gear on when playing. If you find yourself getting hit a lot, or hitting players often, it may be a good idea to invest in a mouth guard. A mouth guard will prevent you from messing up the inside of your mouth.

Correct technique is vital for catching passes on a rainy day. Don't slip, by pointing toes in the direction of the ball. This lets you control the ball easier when catching it. Additionally, keep Bjk Haberleri and chest positioned square above your legs. Put one hand on either side of the ball, facing front.

Flexibility is just as important to a football player as body mass and speed. Don't limit stretching to the few minutes prior to practice or games. Instead, make stretching an integral part of everyday activities. Focus on your back, hamstrings, glutes and hips. Even if you only have five minutes, take advantage of them.

When playing fantasy football, make sure that you know all the rules of your fantasy football league. Remember that different leagues have different rules so make sure you know yours. Familiarize yourself with things such as draft or auction style. Learning everything you can will help you become a better fantasy football player.

Become a student of the game prior to taking your place on the field. Understand the rules and you will play better. You can learn about football by watching a game on television, picking up a book on the subject or even going and watching your local high school football team play.

Build power and muscles by training with box jumps. Make sure you have a very sturdy large box with a height between 2 feet and 3 feet, determined by your own height. Jump onto the edge of the box repeatedly, straightening your back each time you reach the top of the box. Repeat up to 20 times.

Would you like to play football in college? Make a highlight video of your games. Make sure that this video highlights plays from your games that feature your accuracy, strength, speed and agility. It is important to show many different skills to showcase that you are a versatile player.
