Thread Lift is a minimally invasive method of facial rejuvenation, which allows lifting and repositioning of facial tissues, restoring youthful contours.

Investigations - If considered medically necessary, from 12 March 2012, women with a PIP implant can access a Medicare rebate for a PIP MRI service to assess the state of the implant. This referral, from either a specialist, consultant physician or a GP must state that the patient is known or suspected of having a PIP branded implant and note on the referral if the patient has symptoms of a rupture. The MRI scan will be undertaken by a specialist radiologist at an accredited diagnostic imaging provider with a breast coil. Medicare rebates are also available for investigation by ultrasound.

The FDA has viewed claims made by companies selling breast enlargement creams made from herbal ingredients. Though they confirm the company claims are misleading, these companies were not disposed to the same criterion as other creams produced from non-herbal ingredients. This may be due to the fact that these creams claim to alter the natural balance of hormones,” but they do not contain actual hormones themselves.

Importantly, liposculpture cannot eliminate cellulite or treat loose hanging skin. Skin does retract but does not completely tighten skin in all areas, or in all patients. It is best suited for people who are in good physical shape with firm, non-flaccid skin. This is more so in people under 50 years of age, although many people much older will have excellent results with minimal or no looseness of skin. If the skin is not elastic enough then additional skin tightening procedures may be required for the best looking results to be achieved. Such procedures as a tummy tuck” or a thigh lift” may be required to tighten the skin over the liposuctioned area.

Saline implants were used in the early part of this century because they avoided almost all of the problems of the original free-flowing silicone implants manufactured in the late 1980's and 1990's. They were not without their own problems however, and it was not infrequent for patients to complain of rippling, particularly along the most medial part of the breast in the cleavage area. In thin patients this proved particularly difficult to correct. Because of this problem, saline implants were regularly over-filled and this tended to give a more round appearance. The second problem was that the implants tended to be quite cold, particularly after swimming or in cold weather.
