Saigon > Can Tho > Ha Tien > Phu Quoc
The first four nights of our trip to Vietnam was in Saigon.

I went to Lush on this past Tuesday for ladies night and it was pretty awesome. DJ Phat played a sweet set and it was fun to dance with people. I smelled weed at one point, isn't there a serious penalty for smoking it in Vietnam? Later that night I visited Catwalk and I found it to be pretty lame, it was pretty dead except for a few old men and the ladies working there. I was approached by one older woman asking if I wanted female company.

I stayed at an apartment on Vo Van Kiet street right by De Tham. It's a bit of a walk from Bui Vien and Pham Ngu Lau but it's interesting to see the street market.

My sister and I went on a tour of Monkey Island. It's roughly two hours south by bus. The monkeys are pretty mischievous; one snatched my glasses from behind and a security guard had go trade it back for peanuts. We also saw the Mangrove Forest and got a bit of a history lesson from the tour guide about how it was used during the war.

I'm in Ha Tien currently. We went from Saigon to Can Tho by the Futa sleeper bus. About a 3.5 hour trip. Can Tho has a cool floating market where you can buy an assortment of fruit like pineapple, mango, watermelon and coconut. We took out from the dock at Hai Ba Truong across from our International Hotel at 5 am and reached the market as the sun started peeking out. Somebody from the Expats in Can Tho page suggest I see the big tree, but our hotel bellboy said it wasn't worth the trip and suggested we go to My Khanh tourist village instead. It was pretty nice to walk through all the greenery; it's a pretty big park. We got to see a pig race and dip our feet in a tank of little fish for a massage. Near the park is temple.

We left from Can Tho this morning for Ha Tien by a private minivan. We're in Ha Tien for another night then go to Phu Quoc for four nights.

Apparently the beaches are something to look forward to.
