Kim Kardashian was teased for her 'big, ugly breasts' as a girl

Kim Kardashian has built a lucrative brand on people's fascination for her voluptuous curves, but as an adolescent, she hated her big breasts and prayed they wouldn't grow.

"Kourtney used to torture me and think I was odd because I had big boobs," Kim writes in her autobiography Kardashian Konfidential. "I was 11 when I got my period and I started developing.

I would sit in the bathtub, take a washcloth, put it under really hot water and put it against my boobs and pray to God, please don't make my boobs grow any bigger.

And Kourtney would be like, 'Your boobs are so big and ugly!' She was so mean and then I would have to wear a bra and she would say, 'Who wears a bra? That's so disgusting.' It was so embarrassing."

In their new book, Kim and her sisters Kourtney, 31, and Khloe, 26, dish beauty, fashion, fitness and relationship advice and discuss their childhood.

For instance, Khloe reveals that she felt "disgusted" with herself after losing her virginity at 14 to a boy who was then 18. Khloe, who's now married to Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom, says in retrospect that she felt pressured to have sex because she was afraid the guy wouldn't like her anymore if she didn't sleep with him.

The 5'10" Khloe also admits she was teased mercilessly as a kid for being very tall and overweight, saying it took years for her to stop comparing herself to her sexy petite older sisters.

Similarly, Kim, who's now hailed for her curves, confesses she was always jealous of Kourtney's skinny physique when they were children.

While parents may not want their daughters to take relationship (or any other) advice from the Kardashians, their fan base is comprised of young women who want to emulate them.

As a result, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe claim they want to empower girls to grow into strong, independent women.

"Stay true to who you are," says Kim. "Not everyone has a big family like we do. We encourage strong family values. It sounds kind of cheesy to say 'girl power,' but that's really what we represent."
