Tom is an ex-cop who now runs a unique cleaning business that cleans up crime (and other) scenes that are too gory for others to clean. When suspicious things start coming to his attention regarding the last cleanup job he did, at Anns upper-class suburban home, he turns to friend and cop Eddie for help. With Det. Vargas seemingly trying to pin something on Tom, and his daughter acting out, Tom tries to make sense of things.

A very interesting plot in this one. The cleaning business isnt something seen before or ever really contemplated in depth in a film so that part was very interesting. Beyond that, this really was a simple crime thriller with an ending that wasnt much of a surprise. A lot of the suspense in this one was trying to figure out the character history since there wasnt much development before the film jumped right into the story.
Everyone in this film delivered very well. Guzman did a great job of misdirection with his character and Palmer played a teenager wonderfully.
Camera work, sets, dialogue, and sound were all also nicely done.
All that said, the film just never delivered the emotional impact that it set up to deliver. It grabbed your attention well, and was a well done movie but, you started to expect something notable or intense and it just never materialized. Well worth watching, just dont set your expectations too high.
A fair amount of blood, some language, and a sprinkle of violence so save this one for older teens and above.
Cleaner is no longer showing in any Littleton, Colorado movie theatres.
