Promise me you'll shoot me before I become one of those people,
Wasting away in a retail job with nothing to show for myself except 46 years in a single place and nothing to love except for brighter days.

I'm making strides to make my life better,
but aren't we all settling for some sort of complacency sooner or later?

Something in me just doesn't' feel right,
I can't explain it but I have this need for fight or flight,

and I'll be frank,
I'm much weaker than I was a mere year ago,
So I haven't much fight left in me right now.

Can I just fly far away?
I promise you, the next time I fly to Europe,
I will never come home.

Its the only reason there aren't any solid plans on the table,
but please believe my bank account has given me the permission to make that move,
whenever I've decided I just can't take anymore of all these ghosts
roaming around the states.
