Billion Dollar Campaign - Many of us who have read Malcolm Gladwell's book, "Outliers" filed away this little factoid-- it takes ten thousand hours of deliberate action to get successful. Specifically, he wrote "an extraordinarily consistent answer within an incredible quantity of fields... you should have practiced, to get apprenticed, for 10,000 hours before you get good."

I reached the 10,000 number a long time ago and have a fairly well cultivated capacity to assess talent in numerous fields.
