It is a exciting craft to do with several moms and their kids, one-child per person works the best. Each mom can need:

---One gentle wash, any dimension but 1/2' works the best

---One tiny 1-ounce container of 'One-Stroke Ceramic underglaze', often Duncan E-Z Stroke or Gare One-Stroke. To compare more, consider peeping at: ceramic paint protection . (Needless to say they can discuss these, but it is most beneficial if they have at the very least 3 colors to select from. The best really are a dark green, a dark blue or even a dark brown. One jar of every color will do 50 arms altogether)

---One pint jar of 'obvious gloss glaze', which all can use.

---A sponge

---Paper towels and a washcloth

---One clear UNglazed ceramic tile, 4-1/4' (for kids 2 or 3 yrs. old or so) or 6' (for kids more than 3) Unless you know somebody who does hand-painted tile like a job, these would need to be obtained in cases of 100 or so. The best thing would be to call the interest ceramic shops, where you will get the underglaze and distinct glaze, and ask if they have a 'shaped greenware or bisque hardwood they provide', and order the quantity you need. Tell them you'd like them 'fired to bisque.'

The most crucial thing is that the childrens' arms are scrubbed with soap and water, then dried well. Sodium, sugar or oils o-n the hands may stop the glaze from bonding with the tile. Identify further on an affiliated web site by visiting car paint protection perth . Make sure to wash the hardwood well using a clean sponge in ordinary water. Allow to dry a couple of minutes.

Tell the kids it is like hand-painting just without wiggling their fingers. Allow it to be exciting, some get scared. Identify more on new car paint protection by browsing our commanding encyclopedia. Maintain their clean hand gently over a tile to make sure their hand will fit, hands disseminate somewhat. Pick the appropriate size tile and paint one wet layer of glaze across the flat in their open palm, not too runny but not too dry, follwing the instructions for mixing to the bottle. Make an effort to keep their hands from touching, the more however they keep their hand, the greater the quality. A great print will show fingerprints! But if it smears, it generally does, it is all for fun anyway. If it begins to turn into a battle with the child, let him go, when he sees another kiddies having a great time he will offer his hand-to be decorated. (I say 'he' as it is usually the boys that wimp out, the girls are more daring. lol)

Be sure the paint goes all the solution to the ends of the thumb and fingers and press the hand lower onto the floor of the tile, quickly but carefully and firmly, rolling the fingers slightly so the print doesnt seem like skeleton fingers lol. Carry the hand straight-up and see how cool! Clean their hands with soap, the paint is water soluable and non-staining, but dont allow them lick it. Having a good brush, write the child's name and date or birthday or age right on the tile. Set it in a safe spot to dry well.

If you're anxious about smearing the dry glaze, keep these things fired at 'cone 04' before painting the obvious gloss on the top. This is the most convenient way, but when the underglaze is great and dry and you are careful, it is okay to put the clear glaze o-n unfired underglaze and fire the hardwood once at 'cone 0-6' and the results is going to be the same. In any event, obtain the large floppy wash again and paint 3 thin coats of clear gloss to the tile and fire to 'cone 0-6.'

You can buy frames from many ceramic stores that sell the tiles. They will last forever. Have a great time!.
