Former Pro Bowl fullback Lorenzo Neal, who spent a portion of his career in San Diego blocking for future Hall-of-Famer La Dainian Tomlinson, was taken into custody for driving under the influence after a Fourth of July accident in Fresno.
According to information from the California Highway Patrol, Neal ran off the road and struck a pole in his Ford F150. A basic field sobriety test determined Neal was driving under the influence leading to his arrest.
Neal, who also played for Tennessee, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, the New York Jets, Cincinnati, Baltimore and Oakland, reportedly admitted to having a few drinks after leaving a golf course, testing slightly over the legal limit.
Neal wasn't taken to jail and was permitted to go home with a friend.
