According to their website, the proprietors of Treehotel say the inspiration for this project came from, the documentary film Trdlskaren (Treelover) by Jonas Selberg Augustsen. The film follows three urbanites as they try to find a oneness with nature while building a tree house getaway. Treehotel says, It has been our inspiration to expand the idea into a hotel, with the added dimension of innovative modern design.

Every Tree Room has its own separate living and sleeping areas. Two of the Tree Rooms accommodate 2 beds and the remaining four have 4 beds, which would be ideal for families. Each Tree Room comes equipped with its own state of the art, eco-friendly, incineration toilet and water efficient hand basin, so there is no need for artificial plumbing. Each Treehotel also has an electric under-floor heating delivered from an eco-friendly source of electricity so that even during the winter months the rooms will remain comfortable and cozy.
Six Unique Rooms to Choose From
There are six distinct rooms in the tree hotel. Each one is an autonomous unit hung four to six meters above the ground in the boreal forest. There are plans for an additional 18 rooms in the future but for now there are these six:
A Room With a View offers three unique perspectives on the Harads woods. The dining room faces the river, the elevated bedroom faces the interior forest, and the bathroom has a great view of the sky. Two of the walls are full plexi-glass offering an unobstructed view of nature. The Birds Nest is covered to look like a giant nest. This is in stark contrast to the ultra modern interior. This room is accessed by a retractable staircase that is operated by remote control. The Blue Cone is a very simple cabin that is accessed by bridge from the mountain. The cone contains windows of a cupola of plastic. It sleeps four and the view is incredible. The Cabin has a view of the Lule River valley in all its splendor. The cabin looks like a rounded capsule and is suspended beneath a decking structure that may link several units in the future. The Mirrorcube is the room that seems to be garnering the most attention from the media. It is a 4 meter cube that is completely clad in mirrored glass. Due to its relatively compact size this room is only suitable for two occupants. The interior windows look out in all directions giving a true 360 degree view. The UFO. What more needs to be said? This one is every young boys dream, a spaceship tree house.Treehotel is currently finishing up construction on a tree sauna. According to their website, This is the first Tree Hotel in the world with a Sauna. It will be relaxing area room which will seat 12 guests comfortably.
This is a beacon site, a place that acts as a shining
http://oliviamebel.ru/?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&task=user&id=251428 star for those who believe that nature ought not be destroyed to create a vacation destination but should be fully embraced. This unique monument to human creativity and ingenuity has been featured in several publications; Hoosta MagazineStyle Travel for the Modern Urban Nomads, the Austrian Times, the Financial Times, Travelio, and Greenfudge just to name a few.
The buzz that this project is creating will hopefully lead to several more perhaps even a few more ambitious than it.
