You need to be fast when snapping your pictures! If you hesitate too long, the moment will pass and you will have missed the opportunity to get that perfect shot. The faster you can snap a photo, the better.

Try not to capture a gray sky in your pictures. Your photo will look washed out if you have too much gray sky in it. If you find yourself shooting into overcast skies, taking classic, black and white photos may be your best option. You should include the sky in your pictures if it is a clear day and if the light is not too bright.

Try different things with the setting that balances the white in photos. When you take interior shots, the light bulbs can cause a yellowish hue. Instead of spending the time to fix the lighting, you can just change the white balance from your camera. This will definitely provide your pictures with a professional appearance.

Try to adjust your camera so that the background has a bit of a blur to it when people are the subjects of your photos. If the background is just as in focus as the subject, it takes the eye away from where you the viewer should be looking. Blur your background to keep it from detracting from your central subject.
