Students will explore classical art traditions and contemporary art concepts while experimenting with a variety of art media to create original works of art. Inspired by gallery visits, the museum landscape, and layers of art history, students will enjoy a summer filled with art.

Art Spot:
Join us Saturday mornings in the Museums Golding-Scher Classroom for Art Spot. The free drop-in program offers children and families a chance to share a creative moment making art projects inspired by works of art on display in the galleries. There is a different facilitator-guided project each week designed by art instructors to be fun and fulfilling for all ages.
Every Saturday 11:00am 2:00pm. Free. No registration required.
Family Days:
Looking for a fun day out with the family?
The Museum holds several Family Days each year offering Art Spot, activities inspired by the Museums current exhibitions, drop-in docent-led tours, pay-as-you will admission to the galleries, and more. Each Family Day highlights a different exhibition on view, so be sure to join us throughout the year.

Military Appreciation Day:
The Tampa Museum of Art and Booz Allen Hamilton are proud to partner together to enrich our community through the arts. Be sure to join us during our special Military Appreciation Days for fun and engaging programs inspired by art on view and to enjoy the diversity of the Museums annual exhibition schedule.
All families are welcome to join in on the fun. Military (with ID) and their families will receive free admission to the Museum. Check the calendar for upcoming Military Appreciation Days.
Gallery Activity Cards:
Want to know more?
Families and individuals are encouraged to enrich their gallery experience with specially designed gallery activity cards. Activities relate to highlights of selected current exhibitions, and are designed to be completed as a group or individually. Pick up a card or two at the reception desk before you head up to the galleries, and be sure to grab a pencil if you dont have one (as pens are not permitted in the galleries). Gallery activity cards are free and fun!
Art Space:
For the past 10 years Art Space has partnered with a number of community organizations to provide quality engagement with the visual arts to economically and environmentally disadvantaged youths. Art Space Partners work with Museum Education Department staff to design individualized programming which may include gallery visits, hands-on experience in the classroom, and offsite visits. Partners include The Spring, Prodigy at University Area Community Development Corporation, and Starting Right, Now. This program is by invitation only.
