GoDaddy actually has a WordPress site/hosting option. You would have to drop your Website Builder plan, if paid monthly, and then option a new hosting plan. Before actually doing that, backup and FTP all your web site files so that you can use them again.
The cost of GoDaddy's WordPress hosting is about $6.99 to $8.99. I would do the later. They provide the hosting, backups and security. WordPress installs in seconds, a one button click.
However, I would suggest that if you don't already have the expertise or a web designer that you outsource and get one so that they can prepare your graphics and CSS and template for WordPress. This way your down time is limited.
In regard to SEO, WordPress has some excellent plugins to make this work for you. Just do a search and you will see lots of them. I use a couple of them from YOAST and they are excellent.
And if you're not sure where to outsource any work here, just visit http://www.freelancer.com or http://www.odesk.com or even http://www.fiverr.com
