Hello B/C folks! Let's get right to it!

TL;DR: I want to design, host, and help create a standalone forum RPG that you, the writer and management person, manages and plots and stuff. No charge. If you have an idea, hit me up via PM.




NOT TL;DR:


I've come to the realization that, at this point in my life, I am not going to be able to really run any of my multiplayer/shop/RPG ideas (a Mob reboot with hyenas, ABL/Age of Amazons, etc.) It just isn't going to happen. I second-guess everything I create. I'm too sporadic in my activity, sick, unfamiliar with post RPs, and too bad at management by myself, and I feel, having left 3 shops dead/"rehomed" in my wake, it's time to just throw in the towel on that front. I do much better helping others.

I come with a reasonable skillset when it comes to messing with MyBB, a free forum software often used for forum RPGs: forum setup, jQuery crap, and CSS/design. I also draw and paint things. I can create jQuery/PHP-based character creation systems, and with a bit more finagling, maybe breeding/genetics systems. I can also host you (no ads or nothin') for free.

I want to design and code things. I am looking for one or two projects I can sink my teeth into. I can provide you with a lot of things, free of charge. I'm feeling really out of sorts lately as I make the move(s) back and forth from California to Washington. Some stable "go-to" thing would be nice.

If you have ever, ever wanted to make a forum RPG and run a game/community as an admin, but don't have either the art, design, or PHP coding/hosting experience, please inform me of your idea. Hit me up in this thread or on AIM if you have my AIM name (and if you don't, PM or tell me and I'll add you.) If I like your idea, I will get on board and help with all the things (er, all the things I can.) Basically, if you're more on the "writing" and/or "management" side of things and need someone on the "tech" and/or "design" side, I've got you covered pretty much.



Things I especially want to be involved in:

++++++++++ (Human) woman/lesbian/amazon RPGs. I have a butt-ton of content to give out in this category, and I'd love for it to go to a good home. This would be something I would want to be a permanent serious staffer on, most likely. So if this is you, you've pretty much got an auto-in. Seriously. I cannot add enough + signs to this. If your idea involves LADY LAND, TELL ME. Especially lady gangs, apocalyptic all-lady futures, lady cults, and LADIES.

+++ Original or close-to-original animal/creature RPGs. Deer? Great. Cats? Wonderful? Cat-deer? Sure. Things set in nature are grand, and a city is fine too. Pariah dogs are cool. Hyenas are grand.





Things I expect of you:

++ An idea/plots/etc, and/or the willingness to discuss such things with me.

++ Don't be a meanie-head to your userbase. Or me. Usual disclaimer.

+ Some familiarity with posting in forum RPGs would be awesome, just so you know where to affiliate and also advertise. (I can help on this front too.) Not a requirement, but a cool thing to have.

+ Other interested staffers/plotters/people. Again, not a requirement from the get-go, but I'd like to design a community that would last longer than one month.



Things I am willing to provide if this takes off and you are serious:

+ Forum hosting, no ads, etc. Custom domain (blahblah.com), subdomain (blahblah.mechanimus.com) or folder (mechanimus.com/forumrpghere.)

+ SMTP/Automailer. (The thing that automatically mails you when you lose your password, etc.)

+ Forum setup.

+ Art/illustrations, within reason.

+ Forum design/CSS/jQuery/front end design/UI.

+ Edits to the back-end forum coding, possibly.

+ Being the permanent "tech admin," possibly. I probably won't make for much of a "community" admin, unless I can really get into it somehow.

+ A character creator/generator, possibly, depending on how complex it is. Creatures are preferred for this over people, as human avatar systems involve huge swathes of layering. (The one exception for this is if you are running LADIES WORLD, in which case boy do I ever want in on that, as I have a system I was working on for AoA anyways.)

+ Bouncing of the ideas.

+ Possibly more. We'll see.
