I have not tried the pressure washer route, but I have tried the leaf blower attachment. It is basically a very long hose so that you can get the tip of the leaf blower into the first floor gutter while standing on the ground. I found that unless there had been no rain for quite a while, I was constantly getting wet with the old stale smelly water from the gutters. I can't see anyway that power washer could be any different except to increase the water coming from the gutters.
I have gone to getting up on the roof with a leaf blower so that I am above the falling debris. This option has its safety concerns, but so does spending a lot of time on a ladder. I would imagine the leaf blower would be easier to use on the roof than power washer. If nothing else, my electric leaf blower weighs a fraction of my power washer and therefore is much easier to get up and down the ladder. My hose on the power washer is only about 20 feet, so I would constantly need to move the power washer if it remained on the ground.
This is a bit off topic, but my Karcher power washer has only lasted one year before springing a leak in the pressure tank. It still works, but I doubt it will be for long. If I had it to do over again, I would spend some extra money and look for one that is better built.
