Other wounds criss-crossed the young dog's body...wounds suggesting that he had been whipped or abused with a weed whacker.
The horribly injured dog was then left to suffer inside of the dreaded Devore Animal Care and Control facility in San Bernardino, Calif. where he landed on death row.
This trauma all took place back in April of 2012.
Fast forward to today. Tino's wounds have healed after months of treatment provided by the rescue organization who saved him from death row... The Animal Pad.
But today, Tino still needs help.
After all these months, this beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, described as a lovable "goofball," is still in need of a home.

His rescue organization adores this courageous survivor, and they want nothing more than to see him have the opportunity to spend the holidays in a loving home.
Tino's rescuers would like to see him reside in a home where he is the only dog. Though he gets along with most submissive dogs, they feel that he would be best suited to being the king of his household.
Tino's has been receiving training at K-9 Consulting and his trainer, Pete, is willing to help Tino settle in to his new home, when that wonderful day finally comes.
Tino's one-on-one training ends in just two weeks.
At the end of two weeks, his rescue organization hopes to seeTino go to a real home, instead of boarding, as they fear that boarding will emotionally harm him.
Tino is a special dog who has survived more than most dogs will ever have to endure.
He deserves a special home where he will be able to share his loyal, loving self with a new guardian.
