A MIDLAND couple are set to turn into the 1st to tie the knot in a
British wedding ceremony at sea.
Sue Ringham, 37, and Alan Boffey, forty, will set sail for the Canary
Islands on board P&O Cruises' liner Oceana later this month -
and return as husband and wife.
The avid cruise-lovers, from Hollywood in land-locked Birmingham,
will be married by ship's captain Alistair Clark while the liner is
out at sea among Cadiz and Gran Canaria.
P&O is not the first cruise line to provide weddings - others
supply weddings in American cruise ports such as Miami or St Thomas - but
is the 1st to supply British weddings although at sea.
The wedding ceremony ships are registered in Bermuda and couples get a
Bermudan wedding certificate.
