To me it feels like I'm talking to a different person all together the way people text sometimes.
According to Urban Dictionary, trolling” is the art of deliberately, cleverly, and secretly pissing people off, usually via the internet, using dialogue”. You realize that the longer a text message gets, the more likely it is to be split up into two or even three separate messages. But, please remember: simply writing DM in a tweet does not turn the message into a direct message, and that it will be released for your followers to see.

I'm not saying texting is bad or that I don't like it, but if I can help it I'm going to stop using text language. Many forums ban text speaking, and it certainly wouldn't look good for potential scholarship winners to be typing in text speak. Internet initialisms have infiltrated any means of communication online where text is involved.

Much like SMH,” an image of someone physically enacting a facepalm” can also be substituted for a textual message. Someone might post a response to a video, image, or message that consists of a short animated image of someone shaking his or her head back and forth as an expression of disbelief or shock. The main reason why people use the text slang, is simply because they are lazy.

I have seen companies charge as much as 25 or 30 cents per message. I didn't really want to know all of this to text with but to understand whenever I'd see some of the punctuation shorties. While most acronyms you will find are used generally to convey as small a message as possible into a conversation, they can sometimes carry negative and potentially hurtful weight.

Text language actually irritates me alot...even in texts...but i try not to mind it, since texting/aiming is what it's for. People tend to use abbreviations when texting because of character limits on text messages, and because abbreviations are quicker to write than full words. Users have the option to retweet without comment or quote” an existing tweet — the RT is usually replaced in smh meaning the latter case with quotation marks on either side of the message.

RT — Rarely stylized as R/T,” RT stands for retweet,” an action on tweeting where someone broadcasts the message of another person they are following. But when people start speaking in text language (as in actually saying out loud 'LOL!'-and not jokingly) i draw the line. I had a friend who though LOL meant 'lots of love' - that could have led to an awkward misunderstanding if they'd used it to sign off a serious or sad text or email... 'I'm sorry for your loss, LOL'!

The acronyms are also used in text messages, emails, blogs, forums, imageboards, instant messages, as well as in social networking sites such as Facebook. Trolls (people who say disparaging remarks on internet) are often found in message boards, the comment section of YouTube videos, blogs, and Facebook pages.
