This downward spiral continued until 2001 when Joe obtained an unexpected contact--Master Kim had returned home.
Excited to reconnect with his dad and mentor Joe named Master Kim, but to his dismaya woman responded the phone and told him that Master Kim thought like he'd broken Joe in his deficiency and could no longer speak to him. Joe pleaded using the woman and discussed that his absence didn't matter--that he missed Master Kim and needed him back in his life, but the phone went silent. This letdown further accelerated Joe's journey of self destruction and also this once undefeatedunderground fighter, continued to reject his education and discipline.
