Skin Care Basics for Fighting Acne
You've no doubt seen ads for acne fighting products on TV, in magazines, and even on the Internet, so you know that there's just way too many products for fighting acne these days. If the marketing is to be believed each of these (usually expensive) products is a miracle cure for acne.

In reality, though, they're nothing more than hype. You're going to have to stop being taken by the hype if your goal is to keep your skin clear of acne. One of the best things you can do for your skin is to start using basic skin care methods for fighting acne.

Get plenty of exercise. What does that have to do with acne prevention? Your pores get washed out when you sweat. It's pretty obvious that working up a sweat is by no means the only way you can keep your skin all clear and the pores unclogged. It's also important to point out that acne is less of a problem among people who regularly exercise because they end up showering a lot more in order to wash the sweat away. All those extra showers help rinse out the pores. Don't neglect the skin on the other parts of your body. Your face is not the only place that can get acne. Zits can appear on the back as well. A gentle body wash is recommended. Pick lightweight clothes to wear so your skin can breathe. Go with cotton and other soft fabrics and avoid wool, flannel, or any other fabric that's rough and can scratch your skin.

Eat a healthy diet. You can keep your body healthy by eating a nutritious diet. You'll have healthy skin if your body is healthy. When your skin is healthy it has an easier time fighting off the bacteria and other gunk that clogs your pores and causes zits. So if you really want to keep your skin clear and healthy, avoid eating junk food. By sticking to a healthy diet, you'll maintain the elasticity of your skin and keep it looking young.

A lot of people fall for the marketing hype for many acne fighting products. This is great for those companies but it doesn't do a whole lot for your skin. The truth is that when you want your skin to be healthy you need to be healthy yourself. This means you need to stop buying into the hype and start practicing basic skin care methods.
