Perhaps and sometimes when you're retired living for the very first time that you experienced, that phone could be the bane of your existence or a godsend. When it sits there for days on end and never calls, it may have an effect on your own mood and state of mind. But we have to beware that we don't let the telephone become our salvation when people mistreat it to sell you things that you merely do not desire.

Telephone solicitation is not only an issue for senior citizens. There are lots of scottish law society, charities, legitimate business people and retailers who'll work with you really. So feel free to have little or not patience for everyone who phones one to sell you something and start now getting taken off their lists. Your phone might ring often but when it does, it will likely be someone you really do want to talk to.
