When accessing a remote server, your iPad uses a VPN network. If you have a need to connect your iPad through a VPN connection, you need to enable the VPN feature available through Settings and Network. At that point you just input the information that is requested, including treh server address. If you are unaware of the server address, you must contact the network administrator.
Did you accidentally start a loud application? Press and hold the button used to turn down the volume, and the device will mute automatically. If you need to mute often, you can set your lock button to mute, too.
Shortcuts let you send messages quickly. Try pushing the space bar two times when you are writing something. A period and then a space will be added in. You can save time by doing these things automatically instead of manually, so that you can easily send messages to more of your friends.
Are you irritated by the percentage of battery icon on the top right of your screen? This can be simply turned off. At the outset, access the Settings Menu. Find the Usage category, beneath the General tab. Under this menu, you can easily switch off your battery percentage display.
If your child will be using your iPad and you don't want them seeing mature content, you can change your settings so these items become blocked. Under the settings function, simply limit the mature content that can be viewed. This lets you block any adult content you don't want available.
Take the time to set up your contacts in FaceTime. By default, FaceTime on your iPad will include the email that you set the iPad up with, but you can add more. If you have more that you want set up, you can do it under settings.
To copy and paste when using an iPad, tap, then hold down the text you are interested in. Then pick Select. Then push "copy" and move over into a different app. Push the screen and hold down for a second. You will then see the option to paste. Click on that. In order to copy and paste an entire paragraph, four taps will be necessary.
Isn't it the worst when you don't know where a hyperlink will take you? You can easily solve this. Since you cannot hover over the word like you can on your computer, you can just simply touch and hold the word. The URL associated with the hyperlink will be displayed.
iPads come with apps many don't ever use. Unfortunately, some of them cannot be erased. Put these programs into a folder and move it to a location that is removed from where you typically spend your time. This frees up space so that you can easily access apps you actually use.
Most of the time, you will hold your device on the edges when you take photographs. Doing this can cause the camera button to become difficult to reach and can hinder your ability to get the perfect shot. Use the orientation lock. You can then put the button to push near your thumb. After you take a photo, use the image editor for rotating the image.
