One of the great perks of being Santa Claus is having the sanction to determine who has been naughty and who has been nice. Herein is my own partial list for those who have been naughty and nice for 2008.

Joan is bringing back the body style that can only be described as women at a healthy weight, which is being glamorized on natos y waor . Instead of aspiring to the stick figures often seen in the high fashion industry, the future may just bring back the days when a women was considered voluptuous when sporting a few extra pounds.

As for Johnny Drama, he had a good week, with two projects looking ripe for the picking. As for the whole Andrew Dice Clay cameo, it's unappetizing. He's rather annoying and doesn't fit in at all with anything in the show. I'm hoping he makes a graceful exit in the near future.

The emerging cable powerhouse has already taken on 1960's advertising, and the crystal meth business. But, now, it enters full blown conspiracy mode, as the Rubicon pilot showed last night. The Pacific's James Badge Dale is at the center of the mystery, as a think tank analyst who discovers a string of conspiracy theories, and the hints of a global plot.

But, on the topic of Temple sports, we've had a few days off since the Owls lost to Villanova in the Mayor's Cup game. It wasn't a good loss. It wasn't a bad loss. It was an embarrassing loss. But it happened. It's over. The Owls are 0-1. Time to move on.

Furniture: Clean lines in the lounge sofas and chairs are a must. No skirts or frills. Danish modern is the way to go, and because it's such a classic design, is still made by contemporary crafters from Cabot Wrenn to Ikea. Check thrift stores, of course, for pieces that are truly of the period. For offices, another secret is to consider hospital furniture like steel desks. You'll want accent tables everywhere, to hold very important numbers 2 & 3.

Then again, would a wannabe upper crust snoot like Campbell go ahead and name his daughter something as vanilla as a 1965 Top 5 name? Maybe he and Trudy will go with something a bit more regal, like Elizabeth (which was also a popular name in 1965). Or perhaps Margaret.
