I would like to connect my Mac Mini to my Polaroid HDTV. I have an HD cable, but every time I try to connect them, the computer crashes. I have a 19" LG monitor that I am running via a Thunderbolt to DVI adapter. I was https://www.facebook.com/bernoonsub adapter that came with the Mac. I have the latest version of the Mac OS. (10.7.3; I just downloaded it this evening.)

I have tried connecting the HDTV with the computer up. This causes the a blue wash to cover the main display and I can barely see that which was on the screen behind this blue was. Then I get the gray screen of death http://www.bernoonsub.com behind it. If I try to hook up http://www.bernoonsub.com mom's HDTV using this same HDMI cable when I took my computer over to her house. In that case, the picture was too big for her screen and it kept breaking up into static at random intervals.
