I'll skip the debate about which boat is or maybe nintendo wii candidate for restoration, and simply proceed for the assumption that there is a boat, and they are willing to start.
1. Stripping the boat: Remove each piece of hardware, trim, lights etc. before beginning take images of everything, from several directions. this might seem a waste of time in the beginning but after possibly 1 or Several years use since often used the boat all in all, these pictures will be very helpful in figuring out how and where a piece went. also take your time to mark, label and tag every item which is taken out of the boat, I'm sure ideas "come on I'll remember the location where the front seat goes" well of coarse you are going to, but wait, how about the many pieces define the seat frames? anyway trust me on this, label everything, take images of everything,having a photographic camera the price is zero. remember when every one of the trim and rub rails give back from your chrome shop each of the tags and marking's will be gone., Store the many many pieces and tienda nautica in boxes labeled so that you can find things without having to open many boxes to find a certain part. 2. I really like with all the form of thing furniture movers use, something like a couple of foot square skate board covered with carpet. buy em or build your own, simply em strong with heavy enough wheels to support the body weight of the boat. a 16 footer may do fine with three, one at every rear corner and another underneath the front deck, or possibly you will require six, three on both sides for the 28 footer. the wheels result in the boat very easy to move around in a tiny shop where space is limited. possibly space is not a problem just offer the boat on carpeted stands suited to your boat. One other thing consider, by using these wheeled dollies maintain your boat minimal (5 to eight inches off the floor) that's real nice when working on underneath planking.
