Taken together, these results imply that up-regulation of the PCI-34051 of D-type cyclins early on in adipocyte differentiation is important for adipogenesis, and that D-cyclins are involved in the differentiation process partly through the regulation of MCE.

These sensory compounds are emerging as a good tool to study the roles of thermoTRPs in temperature and pain sensing mechanism. Observing the effects of these compounds on other molecular pathways could also provide useful information to better understand their physiologic action and its consequences. In fact, some reports have shown that cinnamaldehyde is able to inhibit some enzymes involved in inflammation [10]. In the present study, we asked whether menthol, camphor, or cinnamaldehyde could modify PLC signaling using human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293T cells and HeLa cells. All three compounds exhibited inhibitory activity. We also found that they negatively affected ADP-induced aggregation of platelets, one of the cell types that use PLC activation for core cell function, in a thermoTRP-independent manner.
