Michael Hill Gold Heart Necklace
Sometimes you may be lost about where to begin.

When you are putting your jewelry away, take care on how it is stored. It is recommended to separate the items stored by using compartments, boxes, holders and hooks. Avoiding piling your nice jewelry pieces into one big heap in a box. Not only can this harm the fine and fragile pieces, but things like necklaces can get severely tangled up with other necklaces or other jewelry.

Keep your jewelry in a relatively air-tight container, and minimize its exposure to humidity. For maximum protection you can choose to store them inside of a small drawstring or a closed jewelry box. Certain metals begin to tarnish when exposed to humidity. You can restore the precious metals back to their former glory, but plated jewelry is different. Trying to polish those pieces can reveal the non-precious metals underneath, such as copper.

When storing your jewelry, be sure that you store it in a place with low humidity and free of open air. Some good examples of proper storage would be,a jewelry box that is closed, or a small draw string bag. Air and humidity will make the metals in jewelry tarnish. While precious metals can be polished back to their original luster, non-precious metals are only coated in which case polishing causes the copper metal underneath to show through.

Juicy Couture Necklace Gold-Tone Pave Heart Charm Necklace Your jewelry should endure an entire lifetime. Whenever you buy jewelry, make sure you go to a reliable, experienced dealer, so you know you're getting an outstanding piece of jewelry. If a piece of jewelry is of high quality, it should be made well and exhibit top-flight craftsmanship. The jeweler will be able to provide a complete history of the piece of jewelry, including who made it, and exactly where the stones originated. Unless you purchase jewelry that is of high-quality, the piece is not likely to last a lifetime.

There are a lot of different types of stones to think about getting when buying new jewelry. Choose pieces that have stones which express your personality and those that make you feel great when you wear them. Look for colors in neutral shades that you can wear with any of your favorite clothes. Buying something that does not work with multiple outfits is pointless.

If your "giftee" is a unique person, try finding a special piece that is crafted specifically for them. A one-of-a-kind jewelry piece is a great way to show someone how much they mean to you.

If you own costume jewelry, it is important to properly care for it. Costume jewelry can prove to be a good investment, but also a costly one; keep in mind the pieces you wish to add to your collection don't show too much wear. You'll get more return on your investment later if you buy costume jewelry in good condition.

The size of the diamond is not always the most critical detail, the cut and clarity are important also. Keep the individual you are buying the diamond for in mind.

More desirable than a big piece is the cut and clarity of the diamond. Remember to think about the personality and style of the woman you're getting the diamond for.
