Many prefer living with somebody or even an animal because they believe in the saying that no man is an island. Some choose animals to accompany them, show them affection, or even assist them in the activities of daily living. Majority of animal lovers or pet owners show unremarkable good health, improved social skills, better relationships among family members and neighbors and become responsible individuals that is why, adopting or raising animals in the home has always been considered in many countries.

Even though pet owners have other things to accomplish for the day like going to work or running some errands outside the home, they should be able to provide quality time because having an animal in the house requires a lot of responsibility, and constant discipline. These pets should be fed well, placed in an area that is clean, given good medical attention, and spared with enough time for play, leisure and exercise to maintain their good health and these pets have feelings and have different ways to exhibit their affections, happiness and frustrations. The choice of sending their pets to friends or relatives with just few tips and advices is often considered because they need to work or travel far for a vacation. Leaving them for a couple of days or even a week gives them feeling of doubts and anxieties but it is a fact that sometimes they have other responsibilities to attend to. But there are questions emerging like, how competent or good are these people to be able to watch and take care of these pets, do they have the same attachment to them like owners do, and that do they know the signs or cues these pets would show whenever problem arises, that is the main reason why pet owners should be aware and give considerations that they can only leave their animals to a trained individual or an institution that would be able to positively answer the questions stated above to avoid any mishaps that they would regret when they come back from a long trip.
