Article marketing is perhaps the most reliable method of driving free targeted traffic to your site online. At the same time, it is not without its flaws. Let us find out the local pros and cons of article marketing.

Pros

1. Creates long-term traffic to your site. The bottomline here is to increase the number blog sites of sites linking back to yours. These incoming links will accumulate over time and slowly add on to your ranking in the search engines.

More backlinks = Higher rankings.

2. Increases credibility instantly when people search your name on the search engines. In fact, this is the easiest way to determine that someone is truly the expert in their field. Just search for their names on your favourite search engine.

If you find little or no information about them, it's most likely the person is not credible. It will be fair to take what they say with a pinch of salt.

3. Useful traffic generation method. Article marketing is able to drive targeted traffic to your site. That would be helpful, isn't it? Why?

Because you have just pre-sold to your readers your idea or product through the article you wrote!

Cons

1. Takes time and a certain level of writing skills. Article members marketing has two long processes - article writing and article promotion.

Since many article marketers are not trained in writing articles, they will find article writing a little bit challenging and tiring.

And that's not to mention article promotion - it takes up time too. Just as it takes up time to look for article sites and publishers to submit to, it requires time and effort submitting articles to them.
