Each household member should have one box containing all the items they will need in the first few days after the move which are loaded last and unloaded first. Where possible, try to complete one room at a time, checking everything off on your list as you go. Once one room is completed, such as the garage, it can be used to store all the boxes that are packed and ready to go until the move. This kind of packaging can keep frozen food cool in transit for up to 72 hours in some cases. Once everything is packed and loaded in the moving vans, go through the whole house double checking wardrobes, cabinets and drawers, and make sure everything is checked off on your check-list.



When conducting measurements of each of the rooms of your new place, give special attention to the layout of any of the windows and doors.
