I remember the earliest days of gaia...

The days when I first joined and the site was filled with wonderment and excitement. The prices weren't inflated as it were now to the point where 1M is the bare minimum of what you needed in order to get 1 items. The games gave out coins which made you really WORK for the coins instead of simply buying boxes with real money and selling the contents for more gold. Someday's I look at the market in disgust and wonder what it will be like in the future. The games rates need to be adjusted to give out way more gold than they do now, otherwise other people who can't afford a monthly collectible with real money will never catch up unless they look towards other people for help.

I remember how harsh people were back then...it wasn't to the point where people were straight up careless of others feelings. The RP community has grown so cold, the people in the CB have grown heartless and yet ask for respect in return. I refuse to give them anything, and have even created a blacklist just in case if they do decide to ask the community for something. The worst someone was ever called was,"Noob". Now its more along the lines of, "f**" or "Whore". Some of these are people who grew up with me on this site...how upsetting.

I remember how easy it was to make perminate friends. A current friend would PM you and tell you about a close friend of they'res, who you would in turn get to know and become friends with. Now aday's it seems people have to make a topic stating, "I want friends!" In order to even get them.

I remember how easy it was for you're heart to be toyed with. Its been countless times on this site since I was taken advantage of for items and gold. There were others who simply wanted to have an affair in order to get they're significant other jealous. I use to play this game as well...I played 3 times and felt even worse the more I done it. I swore off getting into relationships on this site and turned my attention to real life. I did meet a few girls who I thought were the ones, but they both played me for gold, items, and to simply have a boy friend. I knew I had no chance with them to begin with.

Lastly, I remember how generous this site was. There wasn't 10 separate announcements about, "Hey! Spend money on this!" Or, "Hey! We just got this back! Spend you're money on it!" The announcements were comprised mostly of manga stories, upcoming events, real life gaia relationships that blossomed into real weddings, and so many other things. Now the site downgraded to a cash grab left and right. It forgot that the community was what made gaia as famous as it was to being with. They stopped the huge events in substitution for small events that promote the idea of following them on twitter or facebook. There are no contests or prizes that can be obtained WITHOUT money...

This may be my sympathy for TinierMe talking, but I truly believe this site has gone downhill since I became apart of it...I miss the old gaia I knew...
