SECRETS OF THE MANGEKYOU

"Let's start things off a bit slow, shall we?" insisted Itachi.

In that instant, he dispersed into a flock of crows.

"How did you--" I started.

"This is my Tsukuyomi. You fell into my trap the moment your eyes met mine."

I felt a sharp pain in my chest which forced me on to the ground. I leaned back as a sword pierced through. I gasped in shock.

I shut my eyes as I began to bleed out. The pain disappeared the moment I opened my eyes. I looked down and found no sword or open wound.

I sat there gasping. "Your genjutsu is too strong."

"Your first training is to counter a sharingan's Tsukuyomi with your own."

I felt as if my mind had reset. I looked up and noticed Itachi standing in front of me.

"Use your best Tsukuyomi," he instructed.

I shut my eyes and focused all of my willpower into my eyes. I opened them and knew I trapped Itachi in my Tsukuyomi world. Two giant samurai statues appeared from the ground next to him and each pierced Itachi's sides, holding him up as if he were hunted prey. His head dangled forward as if defeated.

He looked up at me with blood dripping off his chin. "Good, now watch what I do."

He placed a hand on the samurais' weapons and I felt my world shatter to pieces. I fell back as if the ground beneath us had shifted.

"In order to break another sharingan's Tsukuyomi, you must acquire the same level of chakra and will power of its wielder. If your calculations are wrong, you'll only fuel the fire for your defeat."

I stood up and brushed off the dirt.

"Another most effective way to defeat a Tsukuyomi is to use your opponent's weakness against them."

After he had said this, a figure had appeared from the trees next to us. I turned my head and saw my father bleeding with a sword sticking out from his back.

"Father!" I rushed to his side and began to apply pressure to his wounds.

"No... stay back," he muttered.

I removed his jacket and saw paper bombs inside. The moment the explosion went off, I fell to my knees into a pool of my own sweat.

I looked up and only found Itachi in front of me again.

"Tsukuyomi again?" I looked at my palms and could barely control my body from shaking.

"It's only an illusion, Asuke," said Itachi.

My eyes widened with fear when I heard him whisper those words from behind me. I turned around but he had struck me too late. I stood there with two swords sticking out from my chest.

"I figured I should take this opportunity to kill you myself before you leave Akatsuki. I'll kill you first before dealing with your father."
