Part 4
Rocky groaned, "He doesn't even have his account set up. I even checked his friend list. Basilisk has no friends. How'd he even get t'top player?" He scanned the internet on his laptop for any info on Basilisk. "He's like a ghost."
Toby sat next to Rocky studying the screen. He had come over to his house to play a regular console game but in time when they got bored they decided to look up some info on Basilisk. This guy has no background, no stated weaknesses. All of the players who had went against Basilisk in the past have all lost. Some have even gone to the hospital, but those were sited as accidents.
Basilisk had become the top player in the past 7 months. This game has only been out for two years. Top player at seventeen within two years is legendary. Basilisk was the first prodigy. Toby and Stone are reaching closer and closer to top player. If they aren't careful Basilisk will see it as a threat and s**t will go down.
The boys searched for any videos or stories of people finding Basilisks weaknesses but had no such luck. They ended up just watching cat videos for the rest of the night.

The next day they went to the arena. A giant lit up sign confirmed that they were at Pacific Battlefront. From a distance the building looked like a military base with a giant gated off back yard where the tops of the buildings can just barely be seen. About 100 feet away was the parking lot where Toby drove in. They both got out the car Rocky ranting about Basilisk, "He probably isn't even seventeen. Did you hear his voice? He sounds like a 30 year old black guy." Toby nodded in agreement
"Maybe he's just here to creep on all the women."
"I wouldn't put it past'm" Rocky snorted.
They both headed in and got their suits sorted out in the mens locker room. The boys picked out their favorite starter guns and made their way to the main gates. Once the gates opened to let them enter and play, it was already a hell house. Rahu and soldiers were being flung every which way. Explosions and gun fire everywhere.
Toby calculated the Rahu ships position and where the Rahu would be generally attacking. Over the time of playing the Rahu have a general pattern of attack methods depending on which building they land on. "Alright, come on this way." Toby lead Rocky to the third building which was actually a parking structure. It only had four levels and a terrible echo. The slightest sound could give you away if you were hiding in it so not many people go there.
Toby and Rocky snuck in. The Rahu were in the fourth building, just to the left of the parking structure. Many of the Rahu were stationed at the windows aiming down at any of the soldiers that came into shooting range. Toby planned on hiding on the third level and sniping all the Rahu that were in the windows. So the boys stealthily walked up the the third floor and went to the wall closest to the fourth building. They set their snipers up and began picking at the Rahu one by one.

This all seemed easy enough, the Rahu must be on an easier level today. About twenty minutes go by when suddenly.
Basilisk walked right up to the wall out in the open all for the Rahu to see. He lowered down his rocket launcher and fired one right at the building. "Ah, I ******** love these things." He said as he reloaded. Toby and Rocky were on edge. Basilisk never talks to anyone much, unless s**t was about to go down.
"The hell are you doing? We're trying t'lay low." Rocky spat at Basilisk.
"Let me share a bit of advice, once you are seen by them and then hide for a few seconds it's like they forget you were ever there. Just like a regular video game." Basilisk fired the second rocket this time it making it through the window and exploding inside the building. Basilisk started loading the launcher once more. The boys grew silent. "Ah that was fun. Now to get to business." Basilisk looked up towards where Toby was sitting but he had vanished.
Toby jumped out from behind Basilisk about to tackle him but he side stepped making Toby lunge forward. Basilisk grabbed onto Toby's arm as he zoomed by bringing him back around and Basilisk slammed his knee into Toby's stomach. The force made Toby lose his balance and fall back as Basilisk let go of his arm. "Nice sneak work. Almost got me." Basilisk laughed as he finished loading up the launcher. "But you certainly aren't going to embarrass me like you did the other day. Not ever again." Basilisk's voice turned dark as he aimed the launcher at Toby who was quickly getting back up.
"Really now?" Toby grinned beneath his helmet just as Rocky pounced onto Basilisk from behind this time actually knocking him down. Basilisk stayed down laying his body flat.
"Yes, yes really." Basilisk fired the rocket launcher that was now angled up making the rocket explode on the ceiling just above them. This caught the attention of the Rahu in the other building. They aimed their lasers towards the third floor of the parking lot. Basilisk was being held down, thus out of sight range. Rocky and Toby were certainly in sight range.
They had about 10 other Rahu aiming right at them, and it would only take about 5 shots each to be at zero health.
"********, Run." Rocky got off of Basilisk and the boys started to run. Basilisk crawled forward to the wall protecting him from the Rahu lasers. The boys didn't stand a chance. They were impaled with lasers and their suits were down to zero in no time. The aliens and their guns were shut off.
"s**t." Toby groaned in frustration. Basilisk laughed at both of them throwing a grenade further into the parking lot. When it exploded the Rahu turned to that area and Basilisk made a run for it. He ran past the boys and vanished to the second level.
"That guy is really starting to piss me off." Rocky seethed.

Scenes like this went on for days. A couple days later, both of them were thrown off a building because they got in the way of Basilisk killing a few Rahu. The boys also exploded when they got stuck in between the cross fire of Basilisk and a Rahu, there were tons of grenades. The boys we're made a mockery of whenever Basilisk was in town.
Rocky's score had lowered significantly since all the incidents with Basilisk. He was now only in the top twenty. Sure that's great but, his title was taken away. He was no longer a gold player. Toby was still in the top 200, but he certainly wasn't getting any better. They both grew a festering rage towards Basilisk.
It probably wouldn't be that bad if Basilisk was more humble or even apologetic about it. But, he usually just laughs at Toby's and Rocky's failures and goes on his merry way.
They both knew something had to be done about this. Someone had to be taught a lesson.
