Went on Facebook this morning and had a deep, deep discussion with some of my friends about how dark Majora's Mask is compared to all of the other games in the series. We've decided that the main theme in the game is Death- which, while I hadn't noticed it before as a child, is now amazingly apparent to me- and that's like, a whole 180 degrees from what the other games in the series were like. Instead of rescuing the princess from Ganon, you go on a journey about self discovery and coping with personal loss.
I wonder if Mr. Miamoto (the guy who created the series) was going through some hard times when he made Majora's Mask...?
