well isn’t that increasing blood splatter terrifying. heartful house trauma ahoy. in this chapter: we get introduced to some of the birds from nageki and hitori’s past. there is blood to remind us they were all horribly murdered. you know, in case you were about to forget.

the 4koma are in fact all titled “family memories”, in really messy child’s handwriting. also hard to convey, but some of the children don’t use kanji when speaking, basically showing immaturity. best part about translating children is that they’re super-easy to understand lololol

I’ve been translating Persona stuff lately, which is why the big bro/big sis, but that’s always seemed awkward to me... there are a ton of honorifics in this chapter in how the kids refer to each other but, um, the game doesn’t use them and I gave up. o/

also note that strip nine has a bit of a timeskip. yes, the “maid cafe” pigeon is Kanta from strip six (male, obvious from his speech style), and I think the newspaper one is Momo.
