After a 3 year almost unintentional hiatus, I am back! Gaia, I've missed you so!

What happened?

Long story short: life broadsided me. Hard.

For two of those three years, half of what was keeping me away was that I was honestly busy. The other half was pure guilt, because I didn't and still don't have anything to artistically show for my hiatus, but I'm working on it.

Everyone thank Gnatty-Bug for talking me back, and for the lingering Beta HQ regulars for being so understanding (so far XD).


What about Beta HQ work owed?

(As of writing this, I have not been able to make myself check the guild so I don't know the status of my work thread or anything else there. Bear with.)

Things will get done, or I will make other arrangements. When it gets done, will be in question for a while. I have other things demanding my attention at the moment.

Evolving Item SEs - These evolves WILL get done, 100% certainty. Again, only the "when" is uncertain.

Crazy Slots - These may not get done, and are what I agonized over what to do about during the hiatus.

The first batch WILL probably get done, and I'll probably forgo payment on them because of the long wait. If any of the other work gets done, in part or in whole, I'll probably do the same there too. For those orders that were cancelled or wish to be cancelled, we're square aside from endless apologies on my end.

I did not accept any of the trades I had (unless I accidentally hit the wrong button) before Gaia cancelled them for being pending too long, so everyone should have had their items returned. If this was not the case, I'll check if Gaia shoved them to me and therefore return them OR if Gaia ate them try to recoup you some of the gold worth. We'll work something out.

What about future Beta HQ work?

As of right now, my priorities on Gaia or re: Beta HQ is to remain active in the thread and to get the owed work done and out as soon as possible.

Originally, if I ever managed to slink back to Gaia I planned to finish the owed stuff and then bow out gracefully. I love Gaia and the shop, but didn't think I could keep up any more.

Now that I AM back and have been in the thread, I'm having second thoughts. I miss being artistically productive as I was as shop staff and I miss the thread regulars and I miss that "OMG YAY" reaction when I delivered stuff. If I do stay, I'll probably stick to doing regular sales, items, maybe a dedicated CNY event and the occasional singular SE for an event.

EDIT 4/1/13:

RE: EI Evolves - Little rusty on templates and b&w values, but trying out a new brush. Liking the results so far. Also 1/8(?) done!

RE: Crazy Slots - Found my notes, which aren't making much sense without checking my work thread (which I still haven't done yet).

Batch 1 - first five order posts. The notes give me the impression that these were delivered and payed for in a timely manner. That or they were done and need to be delivered. No other notes than "DONE," and what's throwing me off is I think I recognize the reference images for one of the orders still sitting in my files and I'm wondering why they're still there. XD;

Batch 2 - Second five order posts, including Steal's order of effing editing doom. According to the notes, breedings have been rolled for and divvied, and for some of the evolves/items I recognize some of the betas by names and orders and what I had intended to do with them. According to my memory, I know I've got at least two evolves done and was working on at least one of the breedings (I remember taking a break after one covered in skulls and glitter and forgetting to go back to it, either to set up a cert or to continue work on).
