Name: Asphodel Lacrimis Larkspur (Name means: My regrets and tears follow you unto the grave my joy.)
Born: Thursday July 16th, 1542 five days before Pope Paul III begins inquisition against Protestants (Sanctum Officium) on July 21st, 1542. Alleged heretics were tried and tortured in an effort to stem the spread of the Reformation. Spared from the torture inflicted upon heretic parents she was left orphaned and alone. Taken into the Catholic society and raised in a convent it was due to an accident in her youth she was given a second chance at life in what was witnessed by her Mother Superior as a miracle. From this day forward she was gifted with the healing touch and second sight, allowed to aid in expulsion rituals for the church she was dutiful in her spiritual responsibilities. But later this miracle would become a curse, for Asphodel could not die nor be injured through means of man. People began to fear her abilities and rumors spread like fire. Her Mother Superior knowing Asphodel could not be protected under the name of the church sent her to the far outreaches of Italy. Spirited out of her native country under guise of night she left Italy with the expelled Jews in 1567 for destinations unknown. Her body ceased to age beyond her 24th year, trapping her in perpetual youth. Her travels took her all over Europe, never staying in one area for more than a few years. Still she was not immune to the plights of man, illness would run its course from time to time, but death would not take her. It is from this reluctance from death that her true journey begins, in order to find out why she cannot die.
