Upon the graduation week for the up-coming Holy Order recruits a galla is held as one final test of the candidates' preparedness for the duties awaiting them. Eth was forewarned of the temptations the night would hold for him thanks to his father's stories following his own candidency. "Entertainment" would consist of women being rounded up from the local village and dressed for the night as "Ladies to be escorted". This was a test of etiquette and to show the candidates that the idea of class was to be forgotten in sight of duty. These women were to be treated as though they were of Nobility; but it was the women's job to report on any candidate that fell to temptation of the flesh, this would be collaberated by the reports of the Order's Chaperones hidden amongst the graduated ranks in attendence. The second test would follow in tandem due to having an open bar available; candidates were expected to drink on a social level, but never become intoxicated. To circumvent this Eth's father had spoken to the barkeep and explained his tea-tottling beliefs. "You may dress up the drink as necessary to make it look as it should, but don't add any alcohol." As it was told the barkeep smiled knowingly and assured Eth's father that he would ensure it personally. Come his review before the Head Eth's father was surprised by the volume of reports congradulating his "ability to hold his drink." When asked to explain Eth's father wasn't certain if his actions were considered improper, so in a carefully worded answer he stated "Of the substance I was drinking I can hold it very well." The Head gaffed and nodded before explaining "I spoke to the barkeep who told me what you had requested. I am impressed with your ability to think ahead and find a way to keep your wits about you."
