Saturday, September 29th 2012 Sabre passed away...
I'm so happy to have been blessed with his company for four wondrous years. He was a loving, loyal companion and a big bundle of lovable goofiness and I loved him so much. I only wish his life had been longer. Belgian Tervuren have an average lifespan of 12-14 years, Sabre lived to be 6. After having been diagnosed too late with a dangerously aggressive, malignant lymphoma he became depressed - even though he didn't know why he was so sick and in so much pain. He was put on an antibiotic that, although would not cure him, would allow him a better quality of life. A week later, he passed.
He was a wonderful dog and will forever be in my heart. Sabre, a companion like you comes around once in a lifetime and I'm glad I spent those precious years of my life with you as my companion. You will always be my little goofball. And I will always love you. Always.
