I've seen my father cry
He's my stable rock, the one I lean on
I know him better than anybody else does
But I refuse to cry in front of him
I've seen my father cry
He tells me his stories and I know every line
He frustrates me and makes me homicidal
But he's raised me so that I'm strong
I've seen my father cry
I wasn't prepared at all
Just suddenly tears welled up in his eyes
He started sobbing and whispering his guilt, his sorrow
I've seen my father cry
I was paralyzed, suddenly scared, unsure what to do
Was I to hold him? Or pretend the tears weren't there?
In the end, I held him silently wiping away his tears

If you have comments...........get over it. You can let me know or not. I dont give a damn
When you can look on those memories
And smile at the sweetness of the moment
Instead of crying at the bitterness of the irony
Then you've moved on.
Until then,
You've only refused to look in the rear view mirror
And see the road that brought you here.
And smile at the sweetness of the moment
Instead of crying at the bitterness of the irony
Then you've moved on.
Until then,
You've only refused to look in the rear view mirror
And see the road that brought you here.
