Well! What a day this turned out to be!
I wanted to show Gryff the little hole in the wall that I found down in the catacombs and while we were making our way down there, I spotted another door that was a bit hard to see in a corner Gryff spotted this door that was hidden in a corner of a little nook and cranny. He went in first. Gryff always goes in first!
And whoa be to me, I was in a right state! We Gryff had found the fabled junk corridor of Monster High! It's where all the gizmos and inventions and doo dads from all the school's students and mad science and shop teachers toss their refuse! Imagine tossing away all these neat little gadgets and thingamabobs! Just because they don't work! Disgusting!
This place is a gremlin's paradise!
So right then and there Gryff declared we had ourselves a lair! And a cooler lair we couldn't have, I have to say! Sweetie went running right in tho investigate and I did the same while Gryff sat back and relaxed. He works hard, he deserves it! I was rummaging through a big pile of little whoseywhatsits that were still blinking away when I heard Sweetie just a chattering away so I went off to see what he found that was so special!
Wow! It was a deactivated Automaton ghoul! Just standing there in a corner like it weren't nothing! Gryff helped me get her hauled out of there (she's a heavy thing!) and we got her back to my garage at home. Gryff set me to seeing what I could do to repair her and get her back up and running again.
Gryff found Atomica and he got her back to my place and had me get to repairing her. A really easy task for a gremlin that knows what he's doing! Besides, dad has all these "Ghouls Guides To..." books and a whole series of them were on Automatons! It took almost all afternoon but a new power cell, some polishing and a few tweaks here and there, and Gryff and I had ourselves a new BFF!
